Specialise in Baby and Toddler Development

This specialist Skills Bootcamp builds on your existing experience, helping you develop advanced knowledge and practical skills to support the unique needs of babies and young children during the most critical stage of development. You’ll explore key areas such as infant development, attachment, safe sleep, and responsive caregiving, enabling you to provide high-quality, nurturing care that makes a lasting impact.

Flexible Blended Learning*

Delivered through a flexible blended learning model, the programme combines online trainer-led sessions with structured workplace application, allowing you to upskill while continuing in your current role.

*Training is free for learners. A small employer contribution towards funding is required for existing members of staff.

Aligned with EYFS and Ofsted Expectations

Aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework, this training ensures your practice meets current regulatory requirements and supports your setting in achieving Ofsted expectations. Where required, you can also gain the NCFE CACHE Level 3 Award in Working with Babies and Young Children Under 2 Years, further enhancing your professional profile.

Course Includes

  • 10 online taught workshops
  • 13 hours of 1-1 trainer support
  • Minimum 30 hours of manager mentoring sessions for structured workplace application
  • 13 weeks duration
  • 1 in-person end-of-course assessment at your workplace
  • NCFE CACHE Level 3 Award in Working with Babies and Young Children Under 2 Years

  • Week 1 – Workshop 1 (2hrs)
  • Week 2 – Workshop 2 (2hrs)
  • Week 3 – Workshop 3 (2hrs)
  • Week 4 – Workshop 4 (2hrs)
  • Week 5 – Workshop 5 (2hrs)
  • Week 6 – Workshop 6 (2hrs)
  • Week 7 – Workshop 7 (2hrs)
  • Week 8 – Workshop 8 (2hrs)
  • Week 9 – Workshop 9 (2hrs)
  • Week 10 – Workshop 10 (2hrs)
  • Week 11 – 13: Final Assessment (in person), 1.5hrs observation PLUS a 30-minute professional discussion

7hrs 1-1 meetings with Trainer across the programme

Weeks 1-10 onsite Manager Mentoring Session per week to put into practice learning from workshops (work placement) 30 hours (in Devon only this will be 50 hours)
